Thermoluminescence (TL) data have been acquired for six large, isolated olivine grains picked from the Zagami meteorite. The results obtained suggest that natural X-ray and gamma-ray-induced TL parameters for the monomineral igneous olivine grains from Zagami can be explained in view of the influence of shock-thermal processes on the crystal microstructure, which greatly differed among individual olivine grains.
