Oxygen isotope and siderophile element characteristics of ureilites are
difficult to reconcile with any petrogenetic model. We examine (1)
homogeneous equilibrium smelting, (2) heterogeneous equilibrium
smelting, (3) disequilibrium smelting, and (4) nonsmelting models.
