The position and condition of the motion of gas clouds in the Milky Way were investigated using ultraviolet absorption spectroscopic data provided by the International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE) satellite. The first aim is the investigation of the effect on solar radiation on Earth of a motion of the planetary system into a gas cloud in the neighborhood of the Sun. The second aim is the testing of motion and development models for the Milky Way galaxy.
