We study shape vibrations of slabs and cylindrical nuclei, recently proposed as possible nuclear shapes in the deep inner crust of a neutron star. Bosonic specific heats are calculated accordingly. At low temperatures they are found to be negligible compared to the fermionic contributions, while at temperatures typical of a very young neutron star, the bosonic specific heats are found to be important.
