The (9+1)-dimensional Robertson-Walker cosmological model with the spin
of matter included is addressed. The Einstein-Cartan field equations and
exact solutions are derived. Both dust and nondust models are
considered. It is found that three dimensions expand and the extra six
dimensions shrink during the evolution of the universe.
