The nucleus is a variable radio loud quasar of moderate total luminosity. The presence of Fe II in emission is normal for a class 2 quasar and is consistent with the low X-ray luminosity. The nebulosity can be represented by spheroidal central component plus an extended disc. The velocity distribution can be interpreted as the perturbed rotation curve of an early type spiral and the inferred mass turns out to be about 1.1×1011M_sun;. The M/L ratio for the nebulosity and the upper limit to the M(HI)/MT ratio are consistent with those of early spirals. The intrinsic colors of the nebulosity are considerably bluer and correspond to those of star forming galxies. That is consistent with the results from the spectroscopical data which are interpreted in terms of photoionization by hot stars. The perturbed morphology, the odd B-V distribution over the galaxy and the enhanced star formation could correspond either to the effects of gravitational interaction or to the ejection processes from the nucleus.
