Exact Solutions

We derive a new, exact solution for the Einstein-Maxwell equations that
describes the collision (interaction) of two arbitrarily polarized
electromagnetic shock waves. In the limit that the polarization angle
vanishes, our solution reduces to the Bell-Szekeres solution.
