The effect of internal gravity waves (IGWs) on the thermal regime of the atmosphere for various seasons of the year in the altitude region where hydroxyl emission occurs is investigated on the basis of the optical recording of such waves. It is shown that, in summer, the amplitude increase of IGWs is correlated positively with temperature in the OH layer; in winter the correlation is negative.
