The linear correlations between absolute magnitude and maximal rotational speed are employed to construct scales of extragalactic distances. The width of the 21 cm blue band yields the total magnitude, which is corrected for effects of inclination and velocity dispersion. Comparison with previous values obtained for 11 galaxies in the Local Group shows good agreement for the short scale, which requires only 5 percent correction. Errors of 12-15 percent in magnitude were found on the long scale. When applied to the Virgo cluster, the errors show extremely high levels of significance.
