We present a study of the systematics affecting mosaics of ISGRI (Ubertini et al., 2003) and JEM-X (Lund et al., 2003) images from the INTEGRAL core program (Win- kler, 2001). We explored the mosaic image background, the characterization of systematic noise, and the sensitiv- ity of the current analysis software. This will help deter- mine the level of confidence that faint source candidates deserve. Key words: ISGRI; JEM-X; mosaics; systematics.
