Nuclear Matter Aspects Of Neutron Stars, Quarks, Gluons, And Qcd In Nuclei And Nuclear Processes, Nuclear Matter
Scientific paper
Containing matter compressed to densities ranging from a few times the density of normal nuclear matter to about an order of magnitude higher, depending on the star's mass, neutron stars contain matter in one of the densest forms found in the universe. Such objects appear as natural stellar probes whose properties may tell us about the behavior of superdense matter too, complementary to relativistic heavy-ion physics. This paper gives a brief overview of the present status of such research.
