Results from observations of Mars between November 1987 and September
1988 are reviewed. The observations were part of a program to provide
continuous global coverage of Mars in the period surrounding its
opposition on September 28, 1988. Observations of Martian clouds, dust
storms, the planet's south pole, and the Martian surface are discussed.
