It is shown that results of the correlation analysis of ionospheric radio signals (e.g., from navigation satellites) deteriorate in quality if the size of the receiving baseline is smaller than the phase correlation radius or the level of the received field. Relationships are derived which link the accuracy of determining the diffraction-pattern parameters with the baseline size. The accuracy of the determination of the apparent velocity and height of the irregularity layer is inversely proportional to the baseline size.
