In this third part of the article, we consider the manner in which the multicolour photometric measurement can be calibrated in terms of primary data that, taken as a first example, is not sensitive to interstellar reddening. We consider the MK spectral classification as well as effective temperatures and bolometric corrections for the B-type stars. We also describe a good correlation between Geneva photometry and the Strömgren photometric Hβ index, leading to what we may call a "hyperindex" sensitive to emission in the Hβ line. Some unsuspected inconsistencies are revealed and briefly discussed.
