The interplanetary scintillation (IPS) can probe the solar wind at distance and latitude range where in situ measurements have been impossible. Using the IPS method very low-speed (< 200 km/s) solar winds were observed at coronal active regions. Low-speed (~300 km/s) winds can be observed even around a polar coronal hole, and this winds is observed with a speed of 600 km/s at R > 60Rs.
