Scientific paper

The white dwarf HZ43 IS a strong source of soft x-rays. The X-ray
spectrum of HZ43 is well modeled as a black body with kT=18 eV. This
source will be used to measure the relative efficiency of the LETG/HRC-S
and the HESF. These observations will be done simultaneously with EUVE
observations to cross calibrate in the 100-160A region of the spectrum.
