The study of Finslerian, locally anisotropic gravitational field extends the framework of the Riemannian approach to general relativity. The introduction of an independent internal variable y (dx/dt) provides the basic framework for the description of a Finslerian gravitational field. Notably, its intrinsic behavior can be considered as a property of the field itself. A possible anisotropic structure in a perfect-fluid universe is investigated on the basis of geometrical concepts of Finsler geometry. Finally, we deal with Einstein-type equations and we prove that they are associated with a cosmological constant in a Finslerian space-time.
