Analysis of satellite data raises the problem of modeling magnetic field in the inner magnetosphere of the Earth. This study deals with those magnetosphere regions where the Ostapenko model values are in good agreement with experimental data. The measurements made with Interball-1 in 1997 are used. It was found that the model is applicable for geocentric distances 8-13 RE and for |Z|>4RE. The model fails for the aurora regions and the magnetopause vicinity.
