The Burgers' model of compressible fluids is extended to include an adiabatic pressure and particle diffusion. For unity Prandtl number, Burgers' shock structures persist, albeit in a modified form. For the randomly forced system, it is found that energy equidissipation, not equipartition, is fundamental to the turbulent state. Implications for both compressible fluid and plasma turbulence as well as cosmological structure formation are discussed.
