The observations of Stokes line profiles require an accurate knowledge
of the instrumental polarisation caused by optical components in the
path of the light beam. In this context the authors present a
theoretical approach to the instrumental polarisation caused by the
3-mirror coelostat system of the Kodaikanal Solar Tower.
