It appears that the present universe has net positive baryon number. If the lifetime of the antiproton is less than the age of the universe, it is plausible that the initial universe had zero baryon number. The antiproton instability can be tested with a small antiproton storage ring.
Presently at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland.
