The gravitational instability of an infinite homogeneous and infinitely
conducting self-gravitating gas-particle medium in the presence of a
vertical magnetic field and suspended particles is considered. It is
found that in the presence of suspended particles and a magnetic field,
Jeans' criterion determines the gravitational instability
