Fossil fission tracks have been found in a coarse-grained white inclusion of the Allende chondrite. Tracks are present in excess of those produced by U-238 spontaneous fission and cosmic rays. The ratio of excess tracks to U-238 tracks is about 20, intermediate to ratios previously observed in meteorites but much lower than might be expected in light of the high initial Pu-244/U ratio measured in these inclusions from Xe isotope ratios.
