Scientific paper

Venera 15 and 16 radio-occultation data on the circumsolar plasma at decimeter and centimeter wavelengths are examined. The plasma electron density, the degree of plasma irregularity, and the kinetic energy of the solar wind are analyzed as a function of heliocentric distance for distances of 5.5-10 solar radii. It is shown that the degree of plasma irregularity rises sharply and the kinetic energy of the solar wind increases at 10 to 25 solar radii.
