Aircraft and ground photographs of the solar corona were obtained during observations of this eclipse in western China. The absolute brightness and degree of polarization of the corona are calculated for the interval from 1.1 to 3.5 solar radii. The polarization is found to be nearly radial, and the degree of polarization attained a maximum of 45% at 1.5 to 1.6 solar radii. The electron density and temperature of the equatorial zone are calculated, and the K and F coronas are separated.
