Our studies of fine-grained dust rims in the Tagish Lake meteorite
suggest that Ca was lost from the rimmed chondrules and preferentially
precipitated as Ca-carbonates in the meteorite matrix and not in the
rims. Clusters of framboidal magnetite in the rim also indicate in situ
alteration.
