HRTEM and EFTEM have been used to study Vigarano matrix. Fine-grained
rim olivines commonly contain inclusions of amorphous carbon and a
Ca-Al-rich phase, whereas olivines in the clastic matrix contain rare
inclusions of poorly graphitized carbon.
