NWA 1000 is an extraordinary eucrite. Half of the plagioclase has been
shock-altered into isotropic glass (maskelynite). The pyroxenes are
extraordinarily unequilibrated, and crisscrossed by veins that consist
mainly of fayalitic olivine.
