An investigation is presented of the longitudinal distribution of solar activity for cycles 18 through 20. It is shown that variations of the longitudinal distribution of sunspots are regular, which possibly is associated with the 22-year solar cycle. It is also suggested that the large-scale restructuring of the longitudinal distribution of solar activity is responsible for quasi-periodic variations of cosmic rays with periods that differ from the solar rotation period.
