The main focus of this proposal is to use high-resolution ATCA observations to better constrain the relationship between mainline hydroxyl masers and methanol masers in regions of high-mass star formation. This will be achieved through searching for, and accurately positioning, 1665/1667 MHz hydroxyl masers associated with 6668-MHz methanol masers. This project is an integral part of the extensive followup planned for the Methanol Multibeam Survey. The project will also provide information on the magnetic field structure of the targeted star formation regions, which will tie in to the spiral arm structure of the Galaxy.
