We report recent photometric observations of the eclipsing binary system
V449 Aur. Unusual light variation superimposed on the light curve was
found and is explained as the result of physical variability of the
primary component. A new variable star, SAO 40855, was discovered. Its
abrupt light changes may indicate a cataclysmic-type variability.
