The Eighth International Solar Wind Conference brought together scientists from the various disciplines of solar wind research to present and discuss results from new and old missions (e.g., Pioneer, Voyager, and IMP-8), and to address recent advances in space physics theory. Abstracts of the oral presentations and poster session papers are presented. The presentations addressed one of four session topics: Corona and Solar/Stellar Wind Acceleration; Solar Wind Composition and Internal State; Solar Wind Structure, Dynamics, and Evolution; and Outer Heliosphere, Boundaries, and Interactions with the Local Interstellar Medium.
