Multipoint observations in the heliosphere have provided insights into the physics of the Sun and its connection to the heliosphere, which can not be achieved by other means. In this sense, the Great Observatory concept is groundbreaking and provides breakthrough science. We will discuss specific examples focusing on the three-dimensional structure of ICMEs to discuss scientific issues relative to the initiation and expansion properties of these ejecta. We will discuss the relevance of numerical models for the interpretation of these data, and further address how this science will benefit from an enhancement of the observatory by Solar Probe and Sentinels
