An analyzer of fine temporal structure for the study of solar X-ray flares has been developed for use in the RGS-1M radiation measuring instrument of the Prognoz 6 and 7 satellites. The main requirement on the fine temporal analysis of nonstationary X-ray processes is the achievement of maximum temporal resolution with maximum duration of the time interval under consideration. The design of the analyzer is described in detail, and results of its successful use on the Prognoz 6 and 7 satellites are discussed.
