The Einstein-Infeld-Hoffman (1938) and Einstein-Infeld (1940, 1949) theory is used to solve the Einstein-Maxwell equations in general relativity. It is shown that up to the first order approximation only the term 4h00 has electromagnetic terms. In addition, the first order approximation can lead to the second order approximation terms (i.e., 4h-alpha-beta, 5h0-alpha, and 6h00). The defined Einstein-Maxwell tensor is used to derive the equations of motion of two charged particles in the zero-th order.
