Polar-cap absorption (PCA) phenomena are studied in relation to classes
of solar-cosmic-ray (SCR) events (i.e., the sources of the PCA). The
correlation between the time parameters and amplitudes of PCA events
with the radiation parameters of SCR events is defined, and it is noted
that this correlation can be used to predict PCA phenomena.
