We present global temperature maps of Saturn's southern hemisphere, with spatial resolution up to 2° latitude. Retrieved temperatures are generally consistent with previously reported results obtained at lower resolution during Cassini's approach to Saturn: The upper stratosphere shows an increase of ~20 K from the equator to the south pole. Winds at low latitudes show a general decay with height, but there now is an indication of a high-altitude jet at latitudes below 8° S. Stratospheric winds at mid latitudes show some structure on the scale of the cloud-top jets. Meridional profiles of several hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide have also been retrieved. Those for ethane and acetylene show a behavior similar to that observed on Jupiter, indicating the coupling of meridional transport and photochemical processes.
