The authors have exploited following properties of massive monopoles in the search for monopoles: large ionization and slow velocity. In addition a new method of monopole search has opened up with the possibility of catalysis of baryon non-conserving nucleon decays. Such a chain of nucleon decays along the monopole track is looked for in the KGF detector as an additional search for monopoles.
