At wavelengths in the mm region the Effelsberg 100m - telescope allows mapping with resolution far less than an arcmin. The Faraday rotation becomes negligible and thus polarization and the underlying magnetic fields can be determined. Besides tests at 4 mm and 7 mm from the primary focus 9 mm waves were chosen to find out the smallest wavelength at which the 100 m dish can be effectively used. Therefore a one channel receiver for total power and polarization was developed. Four test measurements from the secondary focus were carried out.
