The formation of quark-gluon fireballs in nucleus-nucleus collisions at energies above 1 TeV/n was simulated. Both longitudinal and transverse momenta of the particles generated in such processes show spectacular features different from those in conventional independent nucleon interaction models. The adopted phase transition model can remove some contradictions in the interpretation of underground muon data.
