The results of a new study of solar flare H and He isotopes imply that
earlier observations have significantly overestimated the abundances of
2H, 3H, and 3He in large solar flares.
The authors find no evidence that solar flare nuclei have suffered any
significant amount of fragmentation before escaping from the Sun.
