The presence of redshifted emission lines in spectra of GRB testifies that the latters are formed near the neutron stars. The spectral feature at energy 0.74 MeV in the spectrum of GB 781119 is of rather nuclear origin, being due to the radiation of the excited iron metastable Fe-56. The nuclear excitation, in principle, may occur in hot accretion plasma. However, the accretion mechanism is an ineffective source of the gamma-ray line production. An alternative hypothesis on the formation of the 0.84 MeV line by bombardment of the iron crust of the neutron star by neutrons ejected from the stars deeper layers has been discussed.
