We estimated the parameters ωm and σ8 using the data on peculiar velocities of 1493 flat edge-on spirals from the RFGC catalogue. The values obtained, ωm = 0.21-0.09+0.22, σ8 = 1.07-0.24+0.28, differ from the WMAP values approximately by 3σ. Due to strong correlation between the quantities, the shape of the 1σ, 2σ and 3σ-boundaries are rather thin. This allows us to use our estimate for verifications of the corresponding values obtained by different methods.
