This paper is presenting the 'Highly Integrated Control and Data System' mini-project funded under the Technology Research Program and the Science Core Technology programs of ESA. The main target of this activity is the support to the ESA cornerstone 'Bepi Colombo' mission to Mercury but it is expected that other missions shall benefit from its outcomes.
