Two topics are briefly reviewed in this talk: the decay of flavored hadrons
or quarkonium states involving a baryon--antibaryon pair, and the spectroscopy
of heavy baryons containing one, two or three heavy quarks. Some prospects for
exotic heavy baryons are also discussed.
