Some key points out of my recent study of the characteristic features of the
small ($x \ll 1$), intermediate ($x \simeq 1$) and large ($x \gg 1$)
Leutwyler-Smilga regimes for QCD-type theories in a finite volume ($x = V
\Sigma m$) are presented, and a few immediate consequences for full QCD
simulations are discussed.
