The inclusive spectrum of \pi^0 production has been measured in pp collisions
at \sqrt{s} = 900 GeV and 7 TeV with the ALICE experiment. The preliminary
results of these measurements are presented, and perspectives for \pi^0
measurements with heavy ions are discussed.
