Yukawa-like R-parity violating (RPV) couplings are generated as effective
operators with a typical strength of ${\cal O}(10^{-3})$ through loops
involving the scalars, the gauginos and the soft supersymmetry breaking RPV
interactions. Neutrino masses and other phenomenological implications of such a
scenario are discussed.
