Potential of the LHC to determine the electromagnetic couplings of the $\tau$
lepton is discussed via the process ${\gamma\gamma \to \tau^{+}\tau}^{-}$.
Highly improved constraints of the anomalous magnetic and electric dipole
moments have been obtained compared to the LEP sensitivity.
