We discuss the measurement of electromagnetic radiation produced in heavy ion
collisions at SPS energies. We review the low invariant mass dilepton sector,
the real photon data, and the spectra of intermediate mass dimuons. Along with
this, we discuss the theoretical interpretations of those observables.
